BlueComma is a sustainable travel accessories brand created by travel obsessed designers. We believed travel gear shouldn’t be boring, it should be bold, colorful, and celebrate life’s tiny pauses. After 15 years of adventures (some great, some hilariously disastrous), we set out to design products that made travel more fun, expressive, and functional.

The challenge was to stand out in a crowded travel gear market dominated by utility-driven, monochrome products.

From the passport-pattern backgrounds to playful illustrations of luggage and cameras, every detail was designed to evoke a sense of anticipation and delight. The brand voice echoed the same philosophy: “Ditch the boring. Embrace the fun. Your next trip deserves it.”

We built a fast, responsive Shopify storefront tailored for mobile-first travelers. Through user research and journey mapping, we identified the critical drop-off points in checkout and redesigned the flow, cutting abandonment by 30%.

In its first year, BlueComma doubled revenue and improved checkout conversion by 30%, building a loyal customer base that ultimately positioned the brand for acquisition in 2024.

BlueComma was where I learned how to bring together brand, product, and business into a single cohesive experience. I wasn’t just designing a store — I was building a company identity from scratch, managing a cross-functional team of five, and aligning design decisions directly with growth strategy.
